Thrive at Willow

A confidential space to explore the thoughts, feelings and challenges in your life

About me and my practice

Welcome

I am Tineke Zwinkels, a fully qualified Integrative counsellor, based in Chichester, West Sussex. I will draw on theory and practices of a range of counselling models, according to what best suits you as I believe in the uniqueness of each person.

Counselling provides a safe and confidential environment for you to talk through your mental health concerns - like anxiety, bereavement and loss, depression - you find difficult to deal with on your own or to discuss with friends and family.

I will listen to you with empathy and in a non-judgemental way. I will support you as you become aware of how events and concerns impact your emotions, thoughts, choices, and behaviour.

Together we can explore to make sense of your experiences and to discover new ways to deal with similar or new experiences. You can develop and gain more self-understanding; and acquire a sense of security, significance, and self-worth to help you in the future.

I provide counselling and supervision via telephone or online (using Zoom) throughout the UK.

Supervision

I offer supervision within my private practice for qualified and trainee counsellors. Currently I hold supervision sessions via telephone or online (using Zoom).

I principally work with the Seven-Eyed model, using Proctor’s supervision triangle of Normative, Formative, and Restorative approach with the Ethics at the centre. However as in my work as counsellor, I will use the integrative aspects in supervision, to tailor to each individual supervisee.

I offer you a safe, compassionate, and non-judgemental space in which to reflect upon and increase your skills and grow as a counsellor.

We will use the time to sensitively explore your skills and practice, and to focus on your clients’ welfare as well as your development as counsellor.

Supervision will provide you with regular and ongoing opportunities to reflect in depth about all aspects of your practice to work as effectively, safely, and ethically as possible. To do this, you as supervisees need to feel supported in supervision as well as challenged and able to discuss all aspects of your work!

An open and honest relationship between us will help this develop.
